# What to do when your Post-Purchase offer isn't showing

### Overview
Post-purchase offers are a strategic way to boost sales by presenting additional products or services immediately after a customer completes a purchase. However, there are instances where these offers may not appear as expected. Understanding the potential reasons behind this issue can help in effectively troubleshooting and ensuring that your post-purchase upsell strategies function optimally.

###### Common Reasons for Post-Purchase Offers Not Showing

1. **Alternative Payment Methods**
Some payment methods do not support post-purchase offers. If customers use installment services or digital wallets such as Klarna, Affirm, AfterPay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, or Google Pay, the post-purchase offers may not be triggered. 2. **Multi-Currency Settings**
If your store operates with multi-currency enabled and an order is placed in a currency different from your primary "store currency," post-purchase offers might not display.

3. **PayPal Configuration**
Orders processed through PayPal may not trigger post-purchase offers if your store is not approved for PayPal Automatic Payments. It's essential to verify your PayPal settings to ensure compatibility.

4. **Post-Purchase App Not Enabled**
If UpsellPlus is not set as your post-purchase page app in the Shopify Checkout settings, the offers will not appear. Ensure that UpsellPlus is correctly enabled to manage post-purchase offers.

5. **Unsupported Payment Methods**
Payments made using Gift Cards, Cash on Delivery (COD), or orders totaling $0 (free orders) do not trigger post-purchase offers.

6. **Subscription Product Restrictions**
If the original order contains a subscription product and the upsell product is also a subscription product, the post-purchase offer may not be displayed due to compatibility issues.

7. **Inventory Levels**
Post-purchase offers will not appear if the upsell product has inventory tracking enabled and the stock is zero or less.

8. **Local Delivery Orders**
Orders designated for local delivery may not display post-purchase upsell offers.

9. **Shopify Platform Load**
Occasionally, high traffic or heavy load on the Shopify platform can affect the display of post-purchase offers.

If you’re testing on a development/test store and want to avoid charging a live credit card, you can set your payments to Test mode and use a test credit card. Please don’t turn on test mode on your live store! It will stop customers from making a payment.

We recommend to check your checkout settings and test with a credit card as payment method to see your post-purchase offer appear.
