How to Generate Extra Revenue from Your Thank You and Order Status Pages
Most Thank You and Order Status pages simply confirm that an order has been placed. With UpsellPlus Earn, these pages can become an additional revenue stream by displaying relevant partner offers after checkout.
Because the offers are only shown after the purchase has been completed, they don't affect your checkout experience, conversion rate, or any of your existing UpsellPlus offers. You also remain in full control by choosing which partner categories can or cannot be displayed.

How it works
Once a customer completes their purchase, UpsellPlus Earn displays carefully selected partner offers on your Thank You and Order Status pages. Tailored to your store's category and your customers' interests.
These offers are:
- Relevant → Matched to your store's category and your customers' interests.
- Non-intrusive → Displayed only after checkout is complete, ensuring they never interrupt the purchasing experience.
- Revenue-generating → Your store earns revenue whenever customers engage with eligible partner offers.
This allows you to monetize post-purchase traffic that would otherwise only see an order confirmation.
Setting it Up
- From your UpsellPlus dashboard, navigate to UpsellPlus Earn and enable the feature by accepting the required permissions.
- Open your Shopify Thank You & Order Status Page customizer and add the UpsellPlus Earn app block.

- Once the feature is enabled and the app block has been added, eligible customers will automatically begin seeing partner offers after completing their purchase, allowing your store to start earning additional revenue.
Analytics
Monitor the performance of your partner offers from the UpsellPlus Earn dashboard.
Metrics will include:
- Clicks
- Revenue
- Orders
- RPM (Revenue Per Mille)
- CTR (Click-Through Rate)
- Additional engagement metrics
These insights help you understand how your offers are performing and how much additional revenue they're generating over time.
Payouts & Billing

Step-by-Step Payout Process
Revenue generated through UpsellPlus Earn is paid out via your connected PayPal account.
Payment timeline
1. Service month
During the calendar month that UpsellPlus Earn is active, customer interactions with partner offers are tracked and revenue is accumulated.
2. Reconciliation period (60 days)
After the service month ends, our advertising partner:
- Audits and validates all ad performance data.
- Collects payments from advertisers.
- Finalizes revenue sharing between the advertising partner, UpsellPlus, and your store.
- Prepares payouts.
3. Receive your payout
Payouts are sent 60 days after the end of the service month directly to your connected PayPal account.
Example: Revenue generated during July is typically paid out on October 1.
Recommendations & Tips 💡
Automatic optimization
Once UpsellPlus Earn is enabled, our advertising partner automatically manages and optimizes the offers shown to your customers. There's no ongoing setup or manual optimization required on your end.
The system continuously adjusts the offers displayed based on customer engagement to maximize relevance and revenue.
Learning period
It typically takes 2–4 weeks for the platform to fully optimize. During this learning period, earnings and offer performance may fluctuate as the system determines which offers perform best for your audience.
Revenue fluctuations
UpsellPlus Earn uses performance-based advertising, so it's normal for revenue to vary from day to day. We recommend evaluating performance over a weekly or monthly period rather than focusing on daily results.
You can monitor performance at any time from your analytics dashboard, including metrics such as clicks, revenue, orders, RPM, and CTR.
Supported countries
Currently, partner offers are only shown to customers located in the United States, Canada and the UK.
Using UpsellPlus Earn with Thank You page upsells
UpsellPlus Earn and Thank You/Order Status upsells can be used at the same time.
- If both an upsell and a partner offer are available, they will appear one below the other.
- If only one is available, only that experience will be shown.
For the best experience, we recommend removing other third-party advertising or offer widgets (such as Rebuy or Aftersell) from the same page, as they may compete for placement or reduce performance.
Customer interactions
Customers can interact with partner offers in several ways:
- Claim Offer – Opens the advertiser's website where customers can redeem or accept the offer.
- No Thanks – Dismisses the current offer and, when available, displays the next eligible offer.
- Mobile optimized – The experience is fully responsive and designed for touch interactions on mobile devices.
Clicks without revenue
Seeing clicks without revenue is completely normal.
Some advertisers pay for every click, while others only pay when a customer completes a qualifying action, such as creating an account or making a purchase. If an offer uses this performance model, you may see clicks and orders before any revenue is reported.
Restricted categories
To maintain a safe and compliant experience, UpsellPlus Earn does not display offers from restricted categories, including:
- Tobacco and vaping products
- Weapons and related accessories
- Gambling
- CBD and cannabis products
- Prescription medications
- Certain financial products (such as predatory lending)
- Adult content
- Misleading or deceptive offers
- Hate, discriminatory, or violence-inciting content
