How to find out which Shopify checkout you're using
This checkout.liquid feature was sunset. Shopify moved to Checkout Extensibility. Checkout.liquid is no longer around. All checkouts are now on the latest version.
Shopify currently has two types of checkouts: checkout.liquid and Checkout Extensibility.
Checkout.liquid is the old checkout where you can make customizations using the checkout.liquid theme file
Checkout Extensibility is the new checkout, where you can make customizations using apps and your checkout editor.
To find out which checkout you're using, go to your Shopify admin > Settings > Checkout
Here you'll see if you have Checkout Extensibility enabled.
There is a checkout profile that is live, you have the Checkout Extensibility checkout
There is no profile or the profile is in draft, you're still using checkout.liquid
