How to get started with the UpsellPlus Cart Drawer
The UpsellPlus Cart Drawer is a slide-out cart that works with any Shopify theme. It replaces your theme's cart drawer, shows your upsell offers inside it, and can show a free-shipping progress bar. You control the fonts, colors, layout and every piece of text.
- Where: Cart Drawer in the UpsellPlus menu
- Turn it on: theme editor → App embeds → UpsellPlus Cart Drawer
- Upsells inside it: create offers with the Cart Drawer or Cart Drawer Widget placement
Set up the Cart Drawer
- Go to Cart Drawer in the UpsellPlus menu (Set Up Cart Drawer the first time).
- Customize it (see below). The preview is interactive: try the quantity steppers and the promo field.
- Click Enable.
- Click Activate in theme editor. In the theme editor, under App embeds, turn on UpsellPlus Cart Drawer and click Save.
- Back in UpsellPlus, click Refresh status. You'll see Cart drawer activated when it's live.
Until it's turned on in the theme editor, the drawer is configured but doesn't appear on your store. Use Set to draft to switch it off again.
Customize the drawer

Text fields you can change: cart title, product and total column headers, subtotal label, taxes and shipping note, checkout button, empty cart title, continue shopping link and URL, apply discount button, and the "Free" label.
Add a free-shipping progress bar
Create a Rewards program (the drawer shows a Create a rewards program prompt). The drawer then shows shoppers how close they are to free shipping or your next reward. To also recommend a product that closes the gap, add a Get to the next reward offer.
Show upsells in the drawer
Create an offer and choose Cart Drawer (offers in the drawer) or Cart Drawer Widget (an embedded widget in the drawer body) on the Funnel tab.
