Complete guide to Growth Strategies (your AI strategist)

Growth Strategies tell you which upsell strategies to run next, and help you set them up. UpsellPlus looks at your orders, catalog, subscriptions, rewards and live offers, compares them with what works across brands on UpsellPlus, and recommends the three strategies that fit your store best that you aren't running yet, each with the reason it fits.

How recommendations are chosen

Each recommendation shows the reason it fits your store, for example:

{x}% of your revenue is one-time buys of products you also sell on subscription → a subscription upgrade strategy
{x}% of your revenue is on products that come in a bigger, pricier size → a size upgrade strategy
{x}% of your orders already include 2 or more of the same item → a "same product" strategy
{x} low-stock variants could sell out with a clearance offer → Sell out inventory
Your rewards program is live, so shoppers have a reward to reach → a Get to the next reward strategy
Your post-purchase page isn't showing any offers yet → a post-purchase strategy

Goals and strategies

Strategies are grouped by goal. Each goal card shows how many strategies it has and how many you've completed. Each strategy shows its difficulty (Easy, Medium or Advanced) and status (Not started, steps done, Running or Complete).

Follow a strategy

Go to Strategies and pick one of your top picks, or open a goal and choose a strategy.
Click Get Started (or Continue).
Work through the checklist. Typical steps:
- Offer step: UpsellPlus checks for a matching offer, or creates one for you (Ready for you). It stays off until you turn it on.
- Extension step: UpsellPlus checks whether its block is installed on the right page, with a button to open the Shopify editor.
- Pro tips: optional advice.
Steps complete automatically when UpsellPlus detects the offer or block. You can also click Mark as Done.
When every step is done, you'll see Strategy complete! and a suggestion for your next one.

Home shows your strategy in progress, so you can continue where you left off.

Your store profile

The first time, UpsellPlus analyzes your last 60 days of orders to build a store profile: store category, average order value, monthly order volume and partner offer potential (estimated Earn revenue per order). You can change the category if it's wrong. Your order history keeps importing in the background, and the numbers refine as it does.

FAQ

Will a strategy change my live store without asking?
No. Offers created by a strategy stay off until you turn them on.

Why don't I see a strategy I expected?
Top picks only include strategies you're not running yet, and some need setup (for example subscription strategies need products with selling plans).

Can I skip the setup?
Yes. Choose Skip for now and come back from Home or Strategies anytime.
